A Look into a Pitch XII

Another look into a pitch XII, this pair is really unique and one of my favorite of all the twelve (but the others will be just as unique as well) so without further adue.

Laurie Overon
Age: 12

The third youngest daughter of King Overon. She was sent away to the land of Nicle, a land currently at war with the kingdom of Overon. She holds a strong resentment towards both her father and the citizens of Nicle. Hated and considered an outcast in a land that she is forced to call home. She currently resides with the royal family of Nicle, being held as both a foster child and hostage. There is no love in her life there, she is only seen as a servant as opposed to a princess; to the king and queen of Nicle Laurie has no title. She joins the hunt for her brothers and sisters for only one goal: the utter destruction of the kingdom of Nicle and to demonstrate her power over all the lands. A child who has only seen hatred now joins the game.

Vesper Isen
Age: 28
Occupation: Unknown, a highly unstable psychopath currently held in Nicle prison.

Little is known about this man's former life. Some say that he was a highly respected landowner whose bouts of Schizophrenia caused his descent to madness. Others say that it started all when he was a child and his exposure to an abusive household caused it. Medical records say that he is schizophrenic and paranoid. All forms of drugs and treatments have proven negative, no doctor in all the lands are willing to treat him due to his violent tendencies. He has a past with Laurie, he was arrested for his attempt to murder her in the market square. He wears a mask that is chained to his face and wears tattered rags. His weapon of choice are a pair of bladed gloves with broken glass and rusty nails on the palms. The key has chosen him as Laurie's knight, he willingly accepts her offer to serve her so long as he can kill. Thus the two travel together, Laurie hanging onto the chain around Vesper's neck as her attack dog.

So as you can see Laurie is much like Cinderella, but think what if Cinderella had no fairy god mother and became cynical and vengeful. Instead of a fairy god mother, a murderous psychopath willing to kill those who wronged her and to seek out her siblings to make her dream come true. Next time the eldest prince and his knight the mercenary.
