A post that will please two readers
Well finals are unofficially over for me (I've got to turn in two tomorrow so it won't be official until tomorrow.). But that is besides the point, Now I promised one reader in particular that I would post something that he might like (enjoy it now because tomorrow is another look into a pitch III). With that said, that very same reader once asked me if I ever had a chance to date the girl I used to like what would I do? Now if it had to be back then I'd answer the traditional dinner and a movie. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, but it sounds too stereotypical for a date plus I wouldn't want to do that all the time since good movies are rare these days. Now the other girl, being from another country I gave it some thought, but since things turned out the way they did I think this particular date I had in mind could work with the girl as of right now.
Now is the moment of truth, here is my so called date plan. Now from what I hear from most of my friends I'm a real mystery to them. Well that might not be entirely true, but I am known as the "anime guy" since anyone sees anything anime related or whatever my face pops right in thier head (you guys make me laugh and cry at the sametime sometimes =P). No this plan doesn't have anime in it (that is another possible date though) despite she and I enjoying some titles in particular if you were thinking that you better be looking out your window to make sure I don't summon some clones to annoy you TO DEATH!!! But really here's what I'd have planned. Yes we would go have dinner and talk, pretty standard stuff. Now after said nice dinner I'd show her where I grew up. We'd go down to my old hometown La Palma (which isn't all that far from Long Beach or where I live now). I'd show her my old house, we wouldn't go in it since people live there now, but I'd show her around the neighborhood. I'd share my memories of what fun things I did, tell her how the neighborhood lit up during the holiday season (to my one reader take your significant other there if you have time around december, it's really pretty). Then I'd show her where I went to school my elementary, junior high and high school, it's funny how they're all located around where I used to live. Once again I'd share my memories with her the fun ones and the painful ones at my junior high and high school. I'd share the painful ones with her since those are the ones that had a strong grip on my heart where a lesser man wouldn't have been able to bear I'm sure that she would listen. It would all end with a visit to the central park, again this location isn't all that far from my junior high or high school. Where we'd simply take a walk or sit on a bench just the two of us.
I suppose that will have to do for now, another date would involve her showing me around where she lives. But that is pretty much on her behalf and I would be there willing to see and experience it all with her. So that post satisfies one reader, a look into a pitch III tomorrow.

the old hometown memories are great to spur conversation...when you go deep into the wonder years and you want a 50's date, take her to a drive through movie or to your "central park" and push her on a swing =) good post
