A Look Into A Pitch VIII

Yet another look into the world of my pitch ideas. Today we will be looking into Paradise Sogorra: The Rise and Fall of True Warfare. This idea was inspired by Metal Gear, the way that Big Boss wanted to make a soldier's paradise: Outer Heaven. In esscence I wanted to show that soldier's paradise. It's sounds, inhabitants and the survival of the fittest. The story revolves around Ken Tarris, a former special forces operative of the U.S, after years of seeing too many operations he wanders the world dissillusioned by a world that puts people at the top to move its warriors like chess pieces. In his travels he meets an author named Khou Song. Together they find the soldier's paradise Sogorra. There they find a city of war and strife. But it is not fought in the name of a country, but on the terms of the soldiers themselves.

Together the two experience the sights and sounds of the city, Ex-U.S. militay dealing in the Black Market of weapondry, Ex-Russian military in the world of Crime, Ex-Chinese in smuggling, and Ex-Middle Eastern military in dealing drugs. However the constant war of the country has caught the eyes of the world governments. So the world seeks to silence Sogorra once and for all. Amist the fighting between Sogorra and the world, Khou is inspired to write a book. A book dealing with the true meaning of war and the rules to true warfare. This book is the basis of the entire series, each chapter (episode) reveals a little bit on what war should be and what should be done when people fight. As mentioned in the title the country will fall, but what will be left is Khou's book on the rules of true warfare, his manifesto to the world on how wars should be fought, it is not fought with superior tatics or weapons, it is the blood and sweat of the soldiers who fight.

A Pitch IX

It's the time that you've all been waiting for. I've spent approximately two months thinking and perfecting this idea. So I hope its good when I read it back to myself. I would like to dedicate this pitch idea in memory of my Grandpa. A man who watched my brothers and I grow up and were the source of his pride and joy. We love and miss you Grandpa. So without further adue, I present a pitch IX.

The Crident, it's very name suggests that it is from a fairy tale. You won't find its name in any dictionary, textbook or encyclopedia. It is said that such a being is always destined to be born in every era. Since ancient times this being has been the source of all knowledge. A being containing the entire history of the human race; it's beginning and it's end. Now in present day 2008, this being has been reborn in the form of a young girl Laura Cheng. A girl who is followed by the tragic destiny of the Crident. All those who come into contact with her die. Captured by the RYE Institute, a secret world wide government sponsored group who wish to exploit the knowledge of this young girl. However upon her transport the RYE convoy is ambushed by a fanatic cult known only as the Lero. The cult wishes to kill the Crident so that its power is not used.

Amist the chaos a young man bears witness to the onslaught of violence. Holden Spryer, a man on the run for the murder of his wife and one year old child, unwittingly takes Laura hostage in exhange for his own safety. However by doing so the two destinies of the two meet on this path for truth. Holden determined to clear his name by taking revenge on the the true murderer of his wife and child and to protect this young child who has lived a tragic life since her birth. The two travel together, evading their pursuers the RYE Institute and the Lero Cult. Ultimately the two discover the true nature of the being known as the Crident. It's purpose, existence and the true nature of the powers of the Crident. The truth of humanity rests in the hands of a young girl and her protector.

One wishes to expliot her powers...

One wants her dead to save humanity...

One will protect her no matter the cost...

Destiny Drifters
"History cannot be written, it must be held in the memories of one to be told to all."

There you have it a pitch IX, a title that I've thought of for months and its tag line pretty neat coming from a history major. So heres to the next idea, we will be celebrating a land mark, the tenth in my series of pitch ideas. For it I will be taking suggestions on Facebook. You give me some concepts i.e. words, praises, themes, genres, etc. You give me suggestions and I'll look them over and think about them and you'll have your own idea or ideas combined into a pitch written by me. See my note for details, so if your reading this and know me on Facebook, comment on the note with your ideas or input. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Because One of my Roomates Wanted me to Post This

Well by popular request from one of my roomates I've decided to post this entry. There are three things that turn a ninja evil, those three things are: alcohol, women and money. These three things simply put are what some think a college student run into many times. I'm still underage so I can't drink and I probably never will. Konoha doesn't pay me much when it comes to missions, since I can't take on any big jobs because of school. Women, oh the last one, women cloud my judgement. Thinking about them make me feel funny inside, it's a good thing for me to feel since I'm a guy, but I can't help it sometimes. I know I've been posting too much about this (well besides anime anyways), but see the title, women they make you feel sore all over. The problem with me is that I pretty much have no confidence in myself. I can't tell a girl that I like them because I fear rejection. However some would say that once you get it off your chest you can think more clearly (don't read too much into this though, whoever is reading this). Anyways, I'm a man of duty and if theres something that needs to be done in terms of school or personal stuff I need to take care of them and not focus on someone else. Boy writing this makes me feel that I'll become a lonely old man.

Funny thing, half of my apartment are in relationships. So in the room I stay in I'm the only single guy. My other roomate however is making more progress than I am, and I admire him for that. It's cool to see that he and the girl that he likes want to get into a relationship together, but at the same time they both know that they can't be together (sounds like a good anime idea to me though). As for me I know I'm not making any progress. I know nothing about her and she knows nothing about me. Sounds like my elementary to high school crush to me. All I can do is admire her from far away. I'm not angry or anything about being single (being single rocks though), but its like what my roomate told me it gets more difficult to get into relationships when you get older and go to work. Contradictory when it comes to me, work then pleasure. So I don't have time and ninja work doesn't earn me much sometimes. I know I don't win any girls over based on looks alone, I have no problem with my body or looks I'm fine the way I am.

I guess the real problem is personality wise. Like I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I'm a nice guy; the kind of guy that you see in those cliche romance movies or animes that the girl always falls for in the end. The one thing the barrs me from a relationship is that I don't talk much, I'm kind of eccentric and I'm an otaku (I watch too much anime and play too many games). I don't know if I have what it takes to make that girl smile or any girl for that reason. Theres nothing really special about me, but you always hear about the good things that guys can do for a girl like play an instrument, good with computers, and sing. I can't do any of those things. All I do is sit in front of a T.V. or my computer and watch anime and play games. I'd be lucky if a girl did half of the things I do.

A relationship would be a nice thing for me, but I realize the cruel reality of it all. A relationship is a high maintence thing, it has it's stresses and even consequences. I'm not sure if I can handle it all along with school work. Although if I were ever to find that one girl that I can care for, I'd be her ninja. I'd protect her with my life and make her smile and feel loved. But for now, girls just make me feel sore all over and cloud my judgement.

More Anime Moments

Yet another installment of anime moments. I can honestly say that my entire life is like one big school life anime, literally, well minus the magic, matrixisque themes, or giant robots. Which is why I can relate to anime more than with some American television shows, because they're all the same and stupid. The O.C. is one of the poorest portrayals of life in So-Cal, no we don't have all these emo relationship people. But anime, writers and creators get inspiration from real life. If I had to name one anime that demonstrates my life every single day it would be School Rumble, well minus all the stupid antics they get into. Well I degress, without further adue I present my moments.

Well first one, one of my friends and I met up for lunch one day on campus. We decided to meet up to get to know each other better for a small group we were both in. I met her at the food court and we both sat outside to be able to talk. Now people from AACF are always at the food area, not to eat but to do work or just talk. Some people were there and we were sitting right outside the window looking outside, and they misunderstood the situation between us. Everyone was pointing and thinking there was something between us, theres not I'd like to keep her as a good friend thats my thing. So it was really awkward and we had to explain ourselves and everything made sense in the end.

Another one, this one is kinda like Genshiken. I was finishing up some anime (Clannad) when the girl I like came in to the room I sleep in. I guess she noticed that I was watching anime, but it got to the sponsors portion of the end. Of course I felt kind of awkward since I really don't know if she watches that much anime like me, my part of the room is filled with anime stuff and it got me kind of thinking about how a girl would feel about having a otaku boyfriend like me. Now I don't have any weird stuff (so no I don't own any hentai or ero-games), but it makes me think, since one of my weird habits is that I need to get an episode of some anime into me or I don't function right. Side effects include tension, partial insanity, insanity, delusions, grogginess, lack of appitite and lack of sleep. Some of those I experience, insanity is a fun one, but what do I tell her? I'm not sure if I should watch with her since she may not have interest or I'd have too much trouble explaining it to her. Regardless if she was willing to watch anime with me despite not knowing what was going on, I'd pause it no matter where it was and I'd give her a hug to let her know that I appreciate her around.

So those are some more anime moments, hope to find more in the future.

A Look Into A Pitch VI (Because I'm Bored)

Well heres another look into one of my anime ideas that isn't a pitch III. Today we will be looking at Mercenaries Suite. My vision for it all was based off the ending to the first Pirates of the Carribean, so if you haven't watched that movie then don't read this post yet. Anyways, the way I wanted pirates to end is I wanted Will Turner to turn his back on the girl he once loved and become a pirate. However it didn't end up that way and instead we got two other movies where he acts as an "unofficial pirate".

In some ways I wrote this idea in hopes of showing that what if a man turned his back on the woman he loved to pursue his true calling. In this case the story revolves around two main characters a simple gun smith Lei and Terra the daughter of a wealthy family. Terra is subjected to an arranged marriage, as much as she protests about it she eventually accepts it and gets married amist a conflict that has been going on for years. Now Lei and Terra are childhood friends (gotta throw in the childhood friends cliche) and to some extent they really do feel something for each other. Well storywise Lei leaves his home village to pursue a new life, leaving Terra behind.

As shown in the tagline "War tore them apart, Memories brought them back together", the entire series is a recollection of past events leading up to the destruction of Lei and Terra's village. The entire series alternates between the two characters, so we get to see both sides of war; war from a soldier's view and war from the victims of war. Where Lei is living his life as a mercenary in one of the most feared mercenary factions in the world, and Terra trying raise her family in the mist of war and an unfateful husband. The pair's story will eventually overlap and eventually lead to the tragic end of this play of war and memories. The theme of this series is memories, while people can go off and turn their backs on friends, families and loved ones; the thing that will tie them all together are the special memories that they hold together. I also came up with this idea in terms of the girl that I used to like. I liked her for six years, but in the end of my senior year I decided to turn my back on her and pursue my college career. I feel that if I ever saw her again I'd like to sit down with her and have a long talk about the past and ourselves.

So thats a look into Mercenaries Suite.

Something to the Hypocrite in All of Us

A true story: today in my sports appreciation class we were talking about how people can use their muscles more for exercise. Everyone was throwing out things left and right, which in my opinion made most of them sound like hypocrites. Things like "use the stairs instead of the escalators or elevators", "walk instead of using a car". Now a brief observation of my class, some of them are or were in sports, but something tells me that they'd enjoy a big drunken party instead of something simple or intellectual.

I'm pretty sure that all of us at one time or another have said something that we'd like to have implemented or to judge upon. But really its like passing judgement on yourself. Now I say this because I know for a fact that half of my class in this discussion will probably always go for the easier of the half of a problem. Yes I do believe that deep in my heart they will never use a set of stairs as opposed to an escalator. Why because people like to talk highly of themselves, we never want to talk down upon ourselves because then people think that we have some inferiority complex or are just plain emo. In terms of passing judgement on ourselves its like with me, sometimes I say things that make me sound like a hypocrite, and call me paranoid, I always think that someone will be hiding somewhere just to say "Aha!" when I go against what I say. Now I think that this idea doesn't pass the minds of people when it comes to putting the things you say into practice.

Do we really believe that we should say things that we don't mean just to please ourselves or others. Like with my example it's arguable that it was a discussion and someone had to say something, but really people should watch what they say sometimes because we need to believe that there is someone just waiting for us to mess up to put us down and judge us based on what we do instead of what we said. So in the end, just keep in mind that people really do need to be honest and put what we say into practice, because we never know who's just waiting to see us stumble that one time.

A Look Into a Pitch III

Well its been a while since my last look into a pitch III, since theres been a lot going on in my life. Anyways here's a look at the future saviors from the Demon Savior world. Just a little insight into this part of the story of Demon Savior. Its been about years since the events of DS, Ryo defeats the Nightmare Emperor and becomes the new emperor of Chaos. Now I have a final movie idea for that brings one chapter of the Demon Savior story to a close but more on that later. Thats where these characters come in, the next generation of heroes. Now without further adue, I present you the first of the three characters.

A stubborn and beautiful silver haired girl, she always knew that there was more to her father than his eccentric and hard working demenor. Rei Huang, the daughter of Ryo and Naoki, a gentle and kind soul just as her father was back in his youth. She is brillant as she is beautiful, yet unlike her mother she is not as popular as she was. Her soul is unique as well, because she is the true Demon Savior that was to appear in the world. Now I say this because Ryo thought that he was the Demon Savior, but it became apparent that he only gained the powers of a Demon Savior. The demon savior's name is Leyla, she is the daughter of Selpha and Iris. Rei's personality mirrors Ryo's, she can be stubborn and has a strong sense of duty and can be quite ditzy sometimes. However she too can hold her own against any opponent as well.

The Blitz style still remains to this day as an obscure and unheard of fighting style. Yet the father of these two children are determined to bring it to the world. The twins Mikhail and Rem, the son and daughter of Marc and Sasami, the next in line to inherit the Blitz style. Mikhail is determined and highly skilled in fighting. His younger sister Rem is also as skilled as her older brother, yet she is kind to those who torment her. The two are locked in a rivalry between who can become the first to master this difficult style of fighting that has become a part of the Huang family line from their father. Constantly sparring with each other and attempting to accomplish their final goal set before their father, to defeat him using the style he mastered himself. Ability wise Mikhail and Rem have no demon, angelic or heroic soul within them. However the one trait that they inherited from their father is that they each have one half of the knowledge of all fighting styles in the world. Both are a year older than Rei, but Rei still has a close relationship with the two of them. Not only that but Rei also participates in some of thier spar sessions as well.

Well that was a look into the next generation of saviors in Demon Savior. Finally got an idea for a pitch IX, so I'll post that sometime during Thanksgiving break. Look forward to it.
