A Pitch III

Okay heres an anime pitch that I've been thinking about since like the 8th grade. So without further ado I give you this: Long ago, in a part of history time forgot. A great war was held in the three realms: the human realm, the demon realm and the heaven realm. The demon realm had amassed a great amount of power thanks to the seven demon generals of darkness, shadow, plague, insanity, death, sorrow and chaos. All pledged loyalty to the demon emperor, however the last general would rise up against his own kind and slew the emperor. The gods of the heaven realm would seal away the demons, angels and mortal heros in the souls of later generations of humans never to be reborn again.

The year 2018, The world has become a different place. Public schools have become maximum security prisons complete with heavily armed guards and students who aren't afraid of death or sin. Bounties can be placed on anyone for various reasons, if you can pay it you can place it. Ryo Huang, high school junior, feels out of place in society. In an errand, he and his mother are brutally assaulted by Ryo's friends. Leaving Ryo for dead and his mother brutally assaulted, the chaos general chooses Ryo as his vessal for his rebirth into a world of darkness.

From there Ryo must hunt the guilty, becoming a bounty hunter and transforming himself into a savior in a world clothed in darkness, for by blood may justice be done. He must become a Demon Savior.

With this the story is about how this young man must save the world from the ever creeping darkness that surrounds our world in the future. Much of it is inspired by what happens today in our lives. The characters will be pretty unique. Like I mentioned everyone is born with the soul of either a demon, angel or human hero. For instance Ryo's brother Marc, is born with the soul of a fighter who mastered every style of hand to hand combat. Others are not, but possess a high level of spirit power. In one earlier post I mentioned the circle seal forming, one character will have that ability.

Another interesting thing will be that the characters are roughly based off people I know. Ryo will be me of course and his brother is based off my brother. If I were to have character designs they would be changing everytime Ryo got stronger. In his first form he'll only be clad in a black trench coat and have a sword (bound to him by blood) strapped to his back. Second form he'll have the same coat, a flak jacket and his sword will be suspended by his own magnetic field. Final form coat riddled with bullet holes, gun holsters on his back, chains wrapped around his body and he'll wear a face mask. This was inspired by Gungrave, when you see how much Brandon changes over time.

Well I'll be sure to write more on this a little later, going to watch some bleach now so keep reading.

Nostalgia

Ahhh, nostalgia looking back and remembering the good ole times. Its always a good feeling to have every once in a while. For example doing things or watching things that you used to do as a kid. I remember when I got the first season of Inuyasha and watching those first 27 eps brought back some good times I had four years ago. Not to mention eating funnel cake from Knotts (best cakes ever!) reminds me of when I was a kid at age 9.

Its always good to look back in the past and remember these things (Unless your Gatsby). I'm also about to relive some very fond memories I had back in the sixth grade in 1999-2000. If you remember what was on Toonami (back when it was on for 5 days a week) then you'll remember one series that had its first American debute. If you answered Gundam Wing, then you are correct. Thanks to my older bro (thanks a lot man, I love you man =P) I can relive my favorite franchise in the Gundam series. I'd say if it weren't for Gundam and Gundam Wing, I probably wouldn't have such a facination with giant robots and anime. Plus the "A Pitch" posts would not exist (Speaking of which I've finally decided to write one about an anime that I've thought of from start to finish). So if you ever have the time listen to that old song you loved, watch that cartoon or anime you haven't seen in a while. I promise you won't regret it.

Equivalent Exchange

"People cannot gain anything without sacrificing something, you must present something of equal value to gain something." If this sounds familiar then you've watched FMA. The law of equivalent exchange, to gain with sacrifice. If only that rule were true in all we do. Imagine, if you pour your heart and soul into something you would gain something equal to that. For instance if you tried your best on a test, then you get a grade equal to your work. This logic statement is correct only until you add more variables to it.

As in FMA, the Elric brothers in thier journey to restore thier bodies and they come to discover that maybe the law is not true for all. People can work hard all thier lives, yet gain nothing in the end. If our world acted true upon this law then everyone would not have to worry about studies or anything. Just equal work for equal grade. I can name many times when I've tried so hard in things and I hoped for the best, but in the end I ended up being disappointed. We also see that some people who do nothing gain everything without hard work. People who are born into rich and privilaged families can do nothing for the rest of thier lives. Where normal people like me have to work and sacrifice to gain. Its sad to see in this world that there are people who can do nothing yet gain so much in the end.

One instance is this one guy in my precal class (I have many enemies in that class =(.) It would seem that he has already taken a pre-cal class, in another country, and was placed in the same class in the U.S. Now pretty much every assignment he does nothing, but for tests he pretty much gets an A. Now I've never once got an A in that class for any test and I pour my heart into everyone that I take. Yet heres this guy who does absolutely nothing, yet gets what I want. *Sighs...well I guess in our world there are people who work hard and those who don't.

The Death of Chivalry

A true story: my government class ended at approximately 9:55 this morning. As people were leaving the portable door, a group of girls stood near the door. Everyone was walking out to get to get in line for food or to next class, as I walked out one girl said and I quote: "What gentlemen we have in this class." You know it was a really uncalled for comment, and it really was pointless to wait at the door for a guy to let you out. If you wanted me to learn something make a pit and make me fight the Rancor. (I'd probably win)

I mentioned this earlier about the death of chivalry. For those of you who have a small brain or never heard of this word before a basic definition is to be a gentleman when around women. You know put your coat in the puddle so a girl doesn't get her feet wet, open doors for them and so on. Girls, guys today are not your knights in shining armor. Some could care less if you were kidnapped by a dragon and placed in a tower and forced to make cheap happy meal toys by an evil witch. Guys are thugs, gangstas, punks, liars, cheaters, and jerks. As for me I could be any of the above, but I'm a ninja. I live in the darkness and lend my services quietly and leave without a trace.

Anyways, guys like me we can't always be gentlemen. I'm as much of a gentleman as you can get in this society. It's difficult, you see some guys really do want to be a girl's knight in shining armor. However its difficult to do especially with some women. Take this situation for example: you walk up to a door to like the mall, as you head in a really cute girl is about to enter as well. You see there are many things that could be going through each head. The girl may think the guy doesn't care about her so she has to open the door herself, or the guy is just plain crazy. To me if I'm really far away and I can't make it to the door before her she can open it herself, but if she has to stop to answer her phone or something I'd gladly hold it open. I guess its a guy thing, where you don't want to be too sensitive and not too tough. But let me say one last thing, chivalry is dead and buried, it no longer exists in this world. I however will live my life with honor in a world that has none, that is my way of the ninja.
