A Look Into A Pitch III

Well here's another look into the world of Demon Savior once again. I can't tell you how much I love this pitch idea. These two things have been in development for a while now. Since normally I think up of a weapon for the character and post that along with the character but this time it happened differently. As for the other thing, it's been finished for quite sometime now so thats why this post was posted so fast again. So heres another look.

No realm can be without an army willing to defend it. Such as the Nightmare Legion reigned the western lands, now another legion stands to defend it. Enter the Chaos Legion, Ryo's own army of demons. The Chaos Legion is composed of generals trained by the previous generals of Shadow, Plague, Death, Sorrow, Darkness and Insanity. They live to serve the next emperor of the western lands. Each general was specially trained to at least fight on equal terms or even surpass their teachers. Chaos is the only position left unfilled because Selpha currently serves as the most powerful demon of that element. However Ryo and Selpha come to break that tradition by allowing Zaki to fill that role(remember Zaki is Ryo's clone) as well as serving as one of Ryo's royal guard the other being Marc. The army is comprised of all kinds of lower class demons, leaving the higher classes for general or lieutenant candidates. Each warrior serving the Chaos emperor without question and eternal loyalty.

It has had many names throughout time and has appeared in various religous texts. Yet to this day no one is sure what it truly is. It has been called the Holy Lance and the Spear of Destiny. It was said that he who wields it gains immortality. Was it forged by man? By Demons? By Angels? The lance of Longinus the very lance wielded by Rei Huang and Leyla. From a look it seems like a simple double bladed spear, transformed it resembles both a demonic and angelic weapon. It is said that only the leader of the Blessed is presented with the lance as a symbol of one's leadership. However the true lance is one forged by humans and possesses the powers of both a demon and angel. Such a weapon is befitting of the true Demon Savior. A weapon that links all three realms together and one that will preserve that peace by it's wielder.

Next time in a look into a pitch III we take a look at the 7 current S-ranked hunters of the first series of Demon Savior. These men and women are highly trained hunters who can take on any foe with ease. The number reflects their lineage, no. 1 being the first to attain the rank and continuing upwards. They're unique characters and don't be surprised if some of thier descriptions are similar to some of my previous pitch ideas (like in Marvel and DC comics the universe that my ideas take place are the same or just in different times). Two are on their way and yes there will be ones for Ryo and one other character will also be able to attain the rank as well (hint: recall who married who) this all will build up to another movie idea I have for Demon Savior where all the S-ranked hunters gather for one big job. So look forward to it.

Oh The Generation Gaps

A post to prove how old I am in terms of my thoughts. As I've written various times in the past, I hate most of the things on American television. We're a country that says we can watch whatever we want and say whatever we want on television, yet we cut anime and the uber violence in some movies. But thats not the point of this post. The reason why I hate some of the programs now a days is because they lack originality and morals. I can flip on cartoon network and enter a world of fart jokes and immaturity at it's highest (honestly the people who write some of this stuff are either mental patients (no offense to one of my readers) or immature adults). My brother and I grew up near end of the 80s, so we were introduced to cartoons like G.I. Joe and Transformers in the form of VHS tapes rented from Warehouse video (if you know what this place is you're old!). At it's time most cartoons were roughly the same format as what we watched. You have one bad villian in charge of a bunch of henchmen and a hero or a group of heroes who would ulitmately foil plans of the forces of evil.

This past year my brother and I got back into Transformers (I mean the original transformers, Peter Cullen as Optimus, Frank Welker as Megatron and Chris Latta as Starscream) and I tell you cartoons were different. I look back and see how inspiring some of the transformers were. Optimus was always my favorite as a child and he holds a special place in my heart now. You'll never see a leader unlike Optimus. He cares for both his fellow autobots and human friends. He puts others before himself, one example is in the episode "Cosmic Rust" (type that into a video site and watch it) Perceptor is infected with a rust that infected Megatron and is slowly destroying him, but at the same time there's a bomb attached to him. Optimus is given the choice to either save his fellow autobot or watch him blown up. Saving Perceptor will infect Optimus with the rust, but doing nothing will lead to his death. In the end Optimus saves Perceptor and is infected with the rust. Now I've seen this sometimes in some cartoons, but never did it have the same impact as when Optimus did it.

Now looking at todays cartoons. We're treating it too much as yes they are meant to be unrealistic and entertaining. I mean yes they entertain me in a sense it tickles the stupid bone in my body. But my little brother watches the stuff and I'll tell you it really shows what he's watching. In a recent episode of Spongebob, I saw Patrick put garbage on Spongebob's thumb which had a splinter in it and I saw to my disgust get infected. For a country that cuts out blood and violence in anime we can show a wound get infected. Also it seems unforgiveable that Canada is the only country that gets to air the second season of Black Lagoon since we here in America say that the first season of Black Lagoon was so full of violence and bad words nobody wanted to pick up the second season.

We say that children are the future. Yet we as a country expose them to random acts of idocy and immaturity. The shows of the 80s and early 90s were by far the peak of shows that could inspire children to become better people. But now we're telling them to be that stupid loud kid in class or the attention getter. What can we do about it now, I can think of two (the first being more bias) one: make them watch uncut anime, no pokemon. You'd be surprised how originality of some shows can defeat American shows now a days. Naruto uncut is pretty inspiring, it shows kids to never give up in yourself or others and to pursue thier dreams. Two: make them come up with thier own ideas for shows. My pitch ideas help me admire and strive to become like the characters I've created (Ryo is me!!). So maybe there is no solution to this problem, but in the end what we watch can truly shape who we are.

The Melancholy of Jeffrey Wong

A serious post for once. So this has nothing to do with my love life or anime, as of right now I consider my occupation as a wandering ninja. To put it simply I do good deeds and simple feats of physical labor for little or nothing. Right now I am looking for some summer work to do something productive and earn a bit of money instead of doing nothing. However as you can see from the title (a blantant anime reference also) I have still yet to find some form of work. If your a friend of mine over facebook, it turns out I didn't get a job at Knotts. Am I angry, no, just really disappointed. I guess it was the fact that I was closer to a job than some of the other places I've applied to. I actually had an interview, which is pretty darn close to getting a job I've gotten so far. To put it in terms of how disappointed I was, it's equivalent to being the second person in line when a game or favorite ice cream is sold out. I was close yet it just ended up being a waste of my time. I was told I would be informed if I got the job last Friday or Monday at the latest. Instead I get a post card with a big long speech about how the people at Knotts appreciated my time and decided to give the job to another applicant. I think it could have been hand written and just said "no job for you".

What really burns me is the fact that I don't know what it is that turned them off about me. I mean they can work me like a dog for all I care and I would never complain or anything yet all I asked was Wednesdays off and to work from Sunday afternoon to close. Maybe it was my past work experience, I did office work and I applied for either retail or park attendant. I guess my experience didn't apply to any of those. I mean if I were in thier shoes and I took a look at two applicants (one of which is one like mine). I would see that one has experience in retail and would only like to work a few days of the week and for 5-6 hours, the other has office experience and is willing to work from opening to closing. Personally it would all come down to the interview, but from reading the applications I would choose the guy who works from opening to closing.

From my experience in business, hiring workers is like making an investment. You basically have them jump through hoops called applications and interviews. From that you make an executive decision on who to take a chance on. The thing that sticks out though is that some people can talk. They say the things you want to hear, sweet talk if you will. Truth is hard to come by anymore, as a ninja living in the society that would slit it's grandmother's throat for a nickle, I try to answer as honestly as I can. However it's difficult to take a chance on people. I'm glad that my previous employer took that chance on me and hired me. A high school student that had no idea what a collection agency did and only wanted a job to get into a class. In the end he never regretted it, in fact he recognized my hard work and told me if I ever needed a job to look him up again. But as fate would have it there weren't any positions open, but he said if he did have work he would find me again.

Working, it's a double edged sword. On one hand you put forth your time and energy and miss out on some of the finer things of life; but at the same time you make money for that time you invested. If I had a choice of a job it would be a anime specialty store clerk. I'd be working with stuff I enjoy and not have to deal with little kids since they wouldn't know what half of the stuff is anyways and only deal with them when they want pokemon cards. But my chances of getting any job right now are slim. Nobody wants to hire me. I guess I'm getting really down and pessimistic about even finding a job so thats why I'm writing this. I'd have a better chance on someone putting in a yes on dating me on my social profile than getting a job. Girls don't want to date me and people don't want to hire me. Just another day in the life of Jeffrey Wong.

A Look Into A Pitch III

Well it's been a while since I've posted something about a pitch III. I look back and laugh at myself saying that I was going to stop posting these things. But I love this idea too much. There's just too much to explain character and plotwise for this series for people to fully understand what I picture in my head sometimes. So here goes nothing.

A brash young C-rank hunter, age 17. Ken Rohan, like most high school students he finds difficulty in balancing both school and "work". He's a failure as a student sometimes, but his skills as a hunter more than make up for it. He unexpectedly helps a D-rank hunter by the name of Rei Huang during an operation of his own. Despite seeing this girls incompetence he falls in love with her. While he can be cocky at times, he's an honorable young man who wishes to protect the weak and punish evil. But that won't matter once he meets Rei's father, the legendary S-rank hunter Ryo Huang. Ken is one of the new generation of hunters. His demonic soul is a unique one, Verkai of Dawn a perfect demon unlike most demonic souls his is a completely new demon that exists after the dark war. Ken and Verkai have little knowledge of thier true potential, and of course Ryo won't have that in the young man who will be dating his daughter. So to date Rei, Ken needs to defeat Ryo in a fight and to marry her kill Ryo (or at least bring the legend to his knees). It's a fight for Ken to harness the full power of his demonic soul and to bring the dawn of a new generation of saviors to light.

Much like the blade Windrike, these two wrist blades were thought to have been destroyed by humans during the dark war for thier immense power. The second of demonic weapons to be a paired set much like Clorn of thunder and Wern of water wielded by the Death general. Nis of sin and Feil of ressurection, the potientail that these two wrist blades posess are immense. One can carry the sins of all realms upon it's blade and convert it into either light or dark spiritual energy. With that power one can destroy angelic, demonic, or mortal being in a single wave of it's blade. Feil, unlike Nis, is a more defensive blade. However, it posesses a rare and terrible ability. The ability to revive a soul and have complete control over it. The only drawback is that it can only be used once in a hundred years and using it requires the user's soul to serve as bait to draw the soul to be revived to the mortal realm. Should the soul be a vengeful one, it relentlessly attacks the user's soul and can kill him or her. These two powerful weapons are in the possession of Ken and he has yet to know Feil's true abilities.

Well that was a good look into a pitch III, next time Ryo's demonic army the Chaos Legion and Rei and Leylas' demonic weapon. But until then heres a special bonus: an idea I've been cooking up involving Demon Savior. I guess this would serve like an OVA or side story or something.

There have been little accounts created during the Dark War. It was a time that history forgot or wanted to forget. As demons ravaged the lands, one stood before these legions and fought with courage and faith. Never in the history of the mortal realm has one stood against many and brought back what was lost: hope. He never had a name, but his legacy remains to this day in two saviors of the future. One wields the sword, one bears his name. The legendary hero of the Dark War is born.

A Forgotten Past: The legend of Ryo.

See you next time.
