Nerds Vs. Jocks

Nerds unite!! Time for this beast to let loose on how I feel between the complex social structure that we call school (da da dum dum). For anyone whos ever been a student at any school, there will always be the popular and the unpopular. For the record I am even below the unpopular line, I am a social outcast but its okay. I've made several observations in my time at school and at other places. You will probably never see someone popular in the anime or video game section of an electronics store. Where will you find them you ask? Car dealerships, working, T.V. sections, and magazine aisles. Shout LAN party at a popular kid party and no one will know what the heck that is.

The sad thing is that the jocks will always rely on the nerds. You see its much like I mentioned earlier about this one part in Catcher In The Rye, Holden is sitting in his room and his roomate (a well known sports figure at thier school) asks if he can borrow something from Holden. Holden goes on to make a very good (if not excellent) obseration. Popular people will probably never talk to a nobody unless they need something from you. Its because they think that they're so well known to everyone that even a lesser being would probably throw themselves into a pit of sharks for them just to help them out. Its sad really its humanity's greatest flaw, people are greedy and self centered they never think about others before themselves.

Nerds, they look out for each other. They trade big lavish things that jocks covet for simpiler things. Such as LAN parties, game tournies and even simple things. Its kind of like the world of Naruto to me. There will be ninjas from noble families born with skills and power that would take any other ninja years to accomplish. Sasuke is much like a jock to me (he's about the only character in the entire series that I hate so much) he wants revenge so much that he gives into peer pressure to join Orochimaru. It leaves other ninja like Naruto and Rock Lee to train their butts off just to match someone like him.

I don't know, young people will always hope to be like the popular kids and jocks. Only there is a fatal flaw in this as well. In the adult world it doesn't matter, being popular doesn't get you that exectutive position in a corporation skill and education does. Jocks have a laughable percentage to go on to the professional leagues. Even more tragic no one will even remember the games that you helped win, much less what number you were. When your a nerd these things don't apply to you. You work for what you want and you make yourself into a good person and you win over the jocks.
