Preferances

Its a much heated debate when it comes to English dubbing compared to the original Japanese voice overs in anime. People say that when dub, you lose most of the original dialogue and most of the jokes are lost. For example, in Inuyasha, the English dub, the dialogue is different than the original Japanese. Even the tones of voice are lost at times i.e Fullmetal Alchemist. However there are some anime that should be enjoyed with the original Japanese voices. Naruto is one that I believe is one. Since Naruto sounds a lot like Ash from Pokemon. I'm not saying that ruins it, Naruto is a very good anime regardless of voice actors.

You might wonder what I prefer. Well here it is, I first watch in English then I watch in Japanese. One series I highly prefer in English is Cowboy Bebop. Even the most die hard anime fan can agree that the English actors were on par with the original Japanese cast. Plus Steven Jay Blum does a great job as Spike. Well regardless of English or Japanese voices, if an anime catches your interest and is enjoyable to watch you can have yourself a good time.
