Rivalries
Rivalries, we see them whether in real life or not. These conflicts of different ideals make good vs evil more exciting. So here are some rivalries that will go down in history. Optimus Prime vs Megatron. This one is one that I throughly enjoyed. Optimus was the ideal leader, I draw most of my leadership skills from him and my father. Optimus fights with Megatron many times, but my favorite fight was when he fought him in the opening scene of the movie. It was different from the other ones, it was a fight to the death. It was with this fight that their rivalry would be settled, and even though Optimus died he gave Megatron a run for his money.
Next up Dante and Vergil. The two sons of Sparda, always at each other's throats. It was a kind of love/hate situation with them. Both always played it cool, my favorite scene between them is when they first meet in the third game.
Dante: So this is what you call a heart warming family reunion huh?
Vergil: You got that right (flicks out his katana)
They both knew that they were strong, but neither of them were driven by hatred for each other, they just wanted a good clean fight between them.
Light and L. For those of you not familiar its from Death Note (I suggest you watch it or read it). Its a battle of wits between the two. Each one always ahead of the other at one point or the other. Light is able to trick L so many times as L tricks him. My favorite scene is during the university opening ceremony, L and Light both make speeches and right after L sits right next to Light and reveals that he is "L". Knowing this Light can't kill L, since it would reveal that he is "Kira", but he vows to kill him one day.
I can relate to some of these rivalries. Since my brother and I share some of these rivalry traits. In terms of Dante and Vergil, I'm like Dante and Marcus is like Vergil. We both try to play it cool. When we get together for a rare gaming vs or co-op gaming session we come at each other with all we have. In the end no one's pride is hurt, we had a good fight. Light and L (surprisingly), Marcus is like Light and I'm like L. I'm a little eccentric, think things through and I snack on sweets a lot kind a like L. Marcus as Light he's like the good looking one of the family (I'm being honest here and I know your reading this) and he's on my level of thinking. This applies to gaming as well, we both try to stay one step ahead of the other and try to out wit each other in terms of silly arguments.
Well that's rivalries for you, just makes anime, games or movies a little more interesting to get into you know.
